The URL of this website has been renamed to  jimisulaiman.com. The domain name feels right this time – personal and simple. The old one sounded more like a company or a product to me.

What’s up with more work on photography lately? I’m not trying to advertise myself that I offer photo shoot services or trying out to be a Pros or anything like that. This is totally just a hobby, a personal leisure of trying out something new. I’m still doing websites every now and then – two are actually on its way.

Photography has becoming very addictive and out of control. Why? Learning its art: how to take good compositions, the challenge of getting those tack sharp photos, image manipulation, the handling of dSLR and so much more -  so do expect to see more posts on photography (a lot) anytime soon. I still got tonnes of unused disk space for this hosting so why not?

Outdoor shooting during a hot sunny morning with the guys, Hj Khairol and Khai. Not exactly my ideal time but nevertheless enjoyable.

Wasai Salambigar or Salambigar Lake ( I remembered there’s a name given for this place but couldn’t recall) – not really sure what the Malay word ‘Wasai’ means in English but I assume from my childhood understanding(if not lied to), is supposed to be a small mini lake, usually with a stagnant or calm waters. For this place, it looks more to me like a pond of a stream of some kind but a lake… I’m confused. So yeah – Salambigar Mini Pond/Lake/stream/some hole on the ground with water.

I didn’t really get a good shot of the “lake”, but you can check it out at the bottom of this post.

Taken this morning around 6.30am (awu bekarih ku). This was my first outing alone and I actually learn a lot from this first time experience. These are some self notes taken:

What NOT to do:

• Park too far from shooting location (while dragging a tripod.. noooo)
• Using a tripod without knowing how to use it properly first.
• Thinking that 100 shots is enough
• Went alone – an assistance would help alot!

What WOULD have been better:

• A wide lens
• A nice stable new tripod
• A better weather

What’s NOT right:

• I smell piss. WTF? its a public location – get a toilet you fool.
